Welcome to the new Newark, where healthy living and healthy foods - they are synonymous, obviously - are taking root!

And the best example of that is Question Mart, Newark’s cutest health food store, located on Broad Street - 392 Broad St. to be precise. We took these pictures today. They certainly look the part, don’t they?
Picture
Run by the charming Kay Lewis, Question Mart is clearly an extension of her owner:  inviting, clean, full of healthy spirit and products. These now include SUGARLESSe™, and if all goes well SUGARLESSe™ Chocolate Naturals in the future.
Picture
They also have a little exhibit of paintings from local artists that you should definitely check out when visiting the store. Not only do you get nourishments for your body but your soul too. Way to go, Kay - the healthy way!

Here is more about them:

Sweet because we've become so busy this week that we are working very long days and weekends....

While the blues come into the picture in the form of me not having a free moment left to post at all till the holidays....

So let me wish you here and now a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!

New University of Kentucky Study Suggests Low Vitamin D Causes Damage to Brain

Previously, low levels of vitamin D have been associated with Alzheimer's disease, and it's also been linked to the development of certain cancers and heart disease. In both the developed world and in areas of economic hardship where food intake is not always the most nutritious, vitamin D levels in humans are often low, particularly in the elderly population.

Why vendors in Mumbai always sell fresh turmeric with a root called aambe-haldi

Your first sensation when you bite into a piece of peeled raw turmeric root is that it’s almost like carrot since it not only has the same color, but also that crisp texture. But almost at once, the carrotty flavor is overwhelmed by a woody bitterness which is not pleasant at all. If you can bear it though, it leaves a lovely fresh and spicy flavour which you will feel rising up your palate.
